I encourage all students to get started with ChatGPT on your personal computers, follow these simple steps:
- Go to the OpenAI website: Visit the OpenAI website (https://openai.com) using your web browser.
- Access ChatGPT: Click on the "Products" tab on the OpenAI website and select "ChatGPT" from the available options.
- Sign up for a free account: If you don't already have an account, sign up for a free OpenAI account by providing your email address and creating a password.
- Set up the free version: Once logged in, you can access the free version of ChatGPT directly from the website. No downloads or installations are required.
- Start experimenting by having ChatGPT provide background information on your own research project. How accurate is the information? Can you find the citations that are suggested? We will go through the advantages and dis advantage of use AI software during the course.
