BIB5781 - Introduction to Bioinformatics for the study of plant gene expression (2024)

We want to offer the student theoretical and practical knowledge of the fundamentals of plant bioinformatics and its applicability to studies of the plant transcriptome. The course will review the biological and molecular concepts involved in the regulation of the plant transcriptome. We will present a notion of computer programming, computational biology and systems biology. Students will explore recent computational resources applied to plant transcriptome studies, so that they are able to start analysing data from their own research projects.
