To provide theoretical and
practical knowledge on the production, use and quality of lignocellulosic
biomass for energy generation, focusing on biomass and residues from forest and
agricultural crops. Furthermore, it will discuss the concept and importance of
the subject in transforming biomass into various products, such as fuels,
chemical compounds and biomaterials, for the transition to a greener and more
sustainable economy
