Course aims and intended outcomes
COURSE AIMS: To enhance the English language competence of graduate students, specifically in the techniques of writing project bids for international funding agencies
JUSTIFICATION:
As part of the process of internationalisation, graduate students are expected to develop project proposals for international funding agencies. This course gives support in the specialised language necessary to fulfil these expectations.
COURSE CONTENT
Writing project proposals in English: analysing the objectives and criteria of funding agencies, presenting your research niche, explaining the originality and impact of your project.
INTENDED OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, students will show familiarity with the requirements of international funding applications, the conventional expectations of their structure, and a useful linguistic repertoire for meeting those expectations.
