PGF5343 - Informação Quântica (2021)

Quantum information and correlated areas constitutes one of the most active fields of research in physics. Part of this interest is motivated by new applications, such as quantum computing and quantum communications. The other motivation comes from applications of these concepts to areas such as condensed matter physics, quantum optics and high energy physics. The goal of this course is to introduce the basic language used in this field of research and motivate diverse applications. This course is complementary to the general development of the student, allowing him/her to explore more deeply other properties of quantum mechanics, which are not explored in conventional courses.
