This class will review metabolic pathways.
-
This classes will discuss alterations in metabolic pathways in cancer cells
-
We will close the discipline in a more applied way. It will be a single class on May the 2nd from 2:00 to 5:00pm. You have to prepare a presentation to be discussed in the class. You could use the same pairs used in Prof. Marilia class.
The review attached summarizes the search for metabolic targets in oncology. Therefore, I suggest that you read the paper, look for a molecule or pathway of interest and search for information in the literature, including the website www.clinicaltrial.gov and other specialized sites. It would be interesting if someone could explain the conceptual basis of a good clinical trial.
The presentation must include:
1) Theoretical basis
2) Explanatory figures
3) Drug feature
4) Drug Targets: Molecules + Pathways
5) Number of studies with the drug
6) At what stage are most of the studies
7) Discussion: pros and cons
