Pre-requisite: Communication in English, speaking and writing, is mandatory. It is expected that the students attending this course are interested in studying Brazil from an international perspective and about its role in Latin America and in the world´s economic scenario. In the online mode the course requires active participation of students in accessing internet and the course materials and making the necessary readings and recommended video watching.

Objectives
The course aims to offer to foreign students and USP students a broad vision about international management issues when doing business in  Brazil and in the latin american continent. 
The course is entirely offered, taught and conducted in English. This course  develops the understanding of the Brazilian Business scenario, its culture, political structure, agents and business regulation through a comparative and cross cultural approach. Why study International Management and Business in Brazil?  Living and working in a globalized society requires every international student to be aware of the main issues taking place in the international business scenario and the world economy today. As part of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), Brazil is an important player in the Latin American and in the world´s economy and politics. As this, the activity of searching and studying Brazil brings to the student a useful perception of the world’s diversity in global business management.

Course approach
This course approaches international management by focusing on the roles of  executives/managers/enterpreneurs when conducting businesses  and dealing with the challenges of applying effective management principles in a global environment with cultural diversity. It brings the discussion about the differences between local and international management and the cultural and geo-political characteristics of Brazil and Latin America. Pre-requisite: Communication in English, speaking and writing, is mandatory. It is assumed that the students attending this course are interested and mature enough to understand the complexity of world´s economic scenario, and its main characteristics.
