Introduction to the Linux Command-Line (2026)

This course's objective is to provide intensive and advanced training in the use of computers through the Linux command-line interface (CLI) in order to do large scale data analysis. By the end of the course, students will be capable of using the CLI to visualize, edit, manipulate, and summarize large files, extracting information and knowledge from the high-throughput analyses that generated the files. This is not a bioinformatics class, but a prerequisite to serious bioinformatics work. There is no prerequisite regarding knowledge of biology or the CLI.
