Offer the student theoretical and practical
knowledge of the fundamentals of plant bioinformatics and its applicability to
studies of the plant transcriptome. Review the biological and molecular
concepts involved in the regulation of the plant transcriptome. Present a
notion of computer programming, computational biology and systems biology.
Explore recent computational resources applied to plant transcriptome studies,
so that the student is able to analyse data from their own research projects,
addressing important biological questions.
